Editorial policy

Wefiliates covers AI, gadgets, apps and the technology industry in simple English. These standards guide what we research, write, review and publish.

Sources and uncertainty

We aim to link original announcements, documentation and other supporting evidence close to relevant claims. Company statements, independent reporting and our interpretation should be distinguishable. Unconfirmed claims must retain their uncertainty.

Original contribution

An article should answer a reader question with useful context, explanation, a documented procedure or a meaningful comparison. Rewording an announcement without additional value is not our editorial goal.

Testing and buying advice

A researched comparison is different from a hands-on review. Testing claims require actual product access, an identified reviewer and an explanation of the conditions and limitations. Buying guides should state their intended reader, market, criteria and relevant research date.

AI assistance and human review

Our workflow allows AI assistance with research organisation, outlines, drafts and formatting. An editor remains responsible for reviewing claims, attribution, wording and media rights before approval and publication.

Images and commercial relationships

Images need a recorded rights basis and credit. Illustrations must not be passed off as documentary evidence. Relevant sponsorship, affiliate relationships or supplied products should be disclosed where readers encounter the affected content.

Corrections

Readers can report a factual concern with the article URL and supporting information. Our correction process is described on the Corrections page.
